About the conference

On June 27-29, 2018 educators from across Ukraine joined for the VI
International Conference of Siena College /ADU  Associations of the
English Teachers in Myrhorod, Ukraine. The title of the Conference is
“ Effective Methods and Skills for Teaching English in the New
Ukrainian School. An Exchange of experience.”

As the conference was dedicated to the advancement of the theory and
practices in teaching the English language, the schedule of the
conference contained a day of workshops, presentations and computer
literacy training.The Conference promoted collaborative excellence
between  professionals from city and rural schools.

The aim of the Conference  is to provide an opportunity for the
teachers from various  corners of Ukraine and of different level of
teaching experience to bridge the knowledge gap, promote up to date
creative methods of teaching English so that the participants could
bring the experience and knowledge got at the conference to their
local communities and fellow teachers.

Besides  training, the teachers had an opportunity to go on excursions
to the National Pottery Center and National Museum of Horses, visited
a famous Ukrainian SPA center.

The conference was attended by the authorities of Education from
Poltava( regional capital) and the city’s Department of Education. The
guests highly valued the level of the conference, competence of the
participants and admitted the significance of such event for the city.
The sponsor of the event is organization Americans for Democracy in
Ukraine, the organization which has sponsored the associations of the
teachers of English in Ukraine for many years . This collaboration has
great results and recognized achievements in Ukrainian education .
